This print mixes the familiar image of a Toyota Hilux with the silhouette of Abu Dhabi’s skyline sitting in its trunk. It is both funny and sentimental to me. The Hilux feels like a moving landmark of its own, carrying stories, trades, and everyday beauty across the city. By placing the skyline inside the car, I wanted to blur what carries and what is carried, like how cities shape people and people shape cities. The risograph’s texture brings out that nostalgic feeling of sunburnt colors and fading stickers, the kind you still see on cars speeding through the highways at sunset.
