My name is Batool Al Tameemi, and I am a multidisciplinary artist and graphic designer based between Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. My practice spans printmaking, illustration, installation, and digital design, often exploring cultural identity, belonging, and everyday life in the Gulf through a Pop Arab art lens. I am currently pursuing a double major in Visual Arts and Interactive Media at NYU Abu Dhabi, with formative study-away experiences in New York, London, Berlin, Shanghai, and Turin. As the founder of the Art Society at NYUAD and presenter of the Falcon Podcast, I am committed to building creative communities and making art more accessible on campus and beyond.

As a designer, I see visual communication as a way to tell stories that shape how people understand their culture, their city, and themselves. Growing up in the UAE has taught me that identity is layered and constantly shifting, and I bring that perspective into my work. I am drawn to the overlooked patterns on sidewalks, typography on street signs, packaging from local groceries and I reinterpret these everyday elements into playful, accessible design.

My process balances research with experimentation. I study the contexts that inform my work, yet I allow intuition and curiosity to guide how it takes form. I believe good design should be inclusive, culturally grounded, and emotionally resonant. It should invite people to see beauty in what they usually pass by. I hope to continue designing experiences and objects that archive the present while celebrating the visual language of the Gulf and its communities.
