Writing center MENWCA conference tote bags

This project was created for the Writing Center at NYU Abu Dhabi for the MENWCA conference. The tote bag design uses a stamp inspired visual system to represent writing as a lived, social, and everyday practice rather than a purely academic task.
Each illustration references a different aspect of the writing process and the Writing Center experience, including conversation and peer exchange, drafting and revision, reading and thinking, institutional space, and storytelling tools both traditional and contemporary. By framing these moments as stamps, the design treats writing as something that travels, accumulates, and carries meaning across time, languages, and disciplines.
The visual language draws from bold flat illustration, limited colour palettes, and graphic clarity, allowing the imagery to remain accessible, playful, and immediately legible. The stamp motif also reflects ideas of circulation and exchange, aligning with the conference context where ideas, texts, and conversations move between people and places.
